Brooke
Horowitz; Researcher and Writer
Ms.
Horowitz worked as a TV news producer and assignment editor before entering
the nonprofit arena. A graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at
Northwestern University, she uses her reporting, writing and communication
skills to find donors for nonprofits.
Horowitz
is currently a Development Assistant for Prospect Research at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art. She researches individuals, foundations and
corporations for the Museum’s $900 million capital campaign and special
exhibitions.
Prior to
joining the Metropolitan Museum, Horowitz worked as an assignment editor at
NBC News, where she did initial reporting on breaking news and helped
coordinate the network’s news coverage. She began her career working
overnights at KSAT, the ABC-affiliate in San Antonio, Texas. As morning
show producer, Horowitz was responsible for all aspects of an hour-long
program. She determined show content, wrote stories for air, and managed
the broadcast from the control room.
Horowitz
also enjoys food writing and has been published in Time Out New York and
Shecky’s Bar, Club & Lounge Guide. |
