Emily Raabe; Consultant and Writer
Emily Raabe has
been working as a writer, editor, and consultant in the arts since 1997. As
such, she has provided services in capital campaign planning and
implementation, corporate and foundation relations, grants writing, press
releases, database management, and prospect research.
Her development
work has included creating and developing a funding database for the largest
Artists’ Residency in the country; managing the complete restructure of
1,000-lesson curriculum for middle-school and high-school students for
non-profit education foundation, including recruiting, hiring & managing a
team of ten writers, editing all incoming material, and creating educational
standards and formatting for new and existing curriculum based on research
and focus groups; and writing the case statement for a $38 million campaign
for the NY-based Theatre for a New Audience.
Raabe holds a BA
in Literature from Middlebury College, an MA in Modern European Literature
from Sussex University, and an MFA in writing from the California College of
the Arts, where she was, until her recent move back to NYC, a Lecturer in
the Writing and Literature Department. She is the author of a
catalogue on the work of the sculptor Lawrence Labianca, she has written 32
non-fiction books for children, and her poetry has appeared in such journals
as
Chelsea,
Alaska
Quarterly Review,
Gulf
Coast, The Crab Orchard Review,
and the
Antioch Review. |
