Ms. Donovan has been working in arts
administration, development, and education for over 25 years. During her
career, she has provided services in corporate, government, and
foundation relations, grant writing, project development and
implementation, and marketing, as well as project and prospect research.
Her recent work in
development includes serving as the Director of Foundation & Government
Relations for Performance Space 122 and
Interborough Repertory Theatre in New York, and developing funding strategies for many
small theatre companies in across the U.S.
In addition, she developed an interdisciplinary multi-media performing
arts curriculum for a group of schools in Connecticut. She built
the program, coordinated the faculty, planned and implemented the
funding strategy, and managed the project to its conclusion. Prior and
for over ten years, she taught drama at Cheshire
Academy, Meadowbrook
School, and Brearley School.
Ms. Donovan holds a
BA in Theatre (concentration in directing) and an MA in English
Education (concentration in Dramatic Literature & Shakespeare) from
Columbia
University. Recently relocating to
Pittsburgh, Stacy works as an editor, has published three
plays, frequently directs at regional theaters, and has founded her own
company, the goal of which is to celebrate and support the work of
performing artists in the small cities, small towns, and rural areas of
the
United States.
